A tri-racial child born in Milwaukee to struggling college students, my first crib was the drawer of a dresser. As a toddler, my Mom relocated us back to her hometown: Saint Paul, MN, where I grew up the only child of a single mother making X-Men movies in my head and Charlie's Angels sequels with Barbie stand-ins.

After a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre Performance from NYU and B.A. in Screenwriting, clearly I never stopped playing in the magic of movies and performance. I'm endlessly invigorated by the power of dramatic stories to convey meaningful ideas to anyone who will watch. The "Cinderella Story," arguably the greatest story arc ever told, is my greatest creative and personal inspiration to continue playing in this crazy business of show.
